August 11, 2018How to Word Your Wedding Invitations
January 10, 2019It’s just about time to ring in the new year, and I’ve got the perfect wedding inspiration to fit the mood! This New Year’s Eve themed styled shoot at the Alfond Inn was designed and inspired by my love for this fun holiday. I wanted to show couples considering December 31st as a wedding date how you can turn what’s often thought of as just a party, into a modern and sophisticated wedding – with just the right amount of glitter 😉
I decided to create some pieces I don’t get to do very often that would be special for this pretty color palette, so I started right away on a signature cocktail banner to drape over the bar! I love how the blush fabric and black acrylic bar sign brought different textures together to create a show stopping bar display. And that draped greenery from Bluegrass Chic… I’m still swooning! We topped it all off with my welcome mirror rental and some beautiful candles from Ocean Hawks Rentals.
For stationery and table details, I couldn’t resist making custom champagne bottle labels to match the invitation suite, table number, and menus. These make the perfect place card, and double as a favor. Mini Champagne bottles for the win!
Mismatched champagne flutes, blush plates, and scalloped edge magnolia plates from Dishie Rentals set the stage for a wedding countdown ’til midnight. Y’all, I can’t rave enough about Dishie’s collection of tableware. The rose gold flatware is such a favorite of mine, I bought some of my own to use at home! Every place setting Sheena designs truly turns an ordinary wedding table into an extraordinary one. Her endless options of color palettes and styles brings any wedding up a notch!
Black and gold rock candy, hand-painted by Bake A Wish, sat at each place setting and doubled as a drink stirrer! Saloni also created cakes and donuts that literally dazzled; my favorite of which was covered in rock candy, and topped with actual sparklers! How stinkin’ cute is that!? Her sweets are not only gorgeous, but so irresistibly tasty. I may or may not have gone home in a sugar coma 😉
Pale roses by the amazing florists at Bluegrass Chic popped against the sophisticated black velvet table runner and napkins from Over the Top Rental Linens. Michelle at Bluegrass has such an amazing eye for detail, and made my firework-floral ideas come to life perfectly! This black velvet chair from A Chair Affair is quite a pretty background for that gorgeous bouquet if I do say so myself.
I may just be a little obsessed with these ghost chairs, white table, and blush velvet chairs, all from A Chair Affair. Check out their gorgeous furniture we used as a lounge! You won’t regret going with a lounge space during cocktail hour at your wedding. Guests love a beautiful space to gather in!
While we’re at it, let’s talk for a minute about this STUNNING gown from Bridal Gown Studio and classic black tuxedo from Any Tux. Our gorgeous models Hannah and Nick (my real life friends and amazing parents to 3 gorgeous babies, + 1 on the way!) were just the sweetest. Hannah’s hair and makeup by Tatiana from GAD Artistry blew us away, as always. Tatiana’s attention to detail is unparalleled. There’s no one I trust more with my own hair and makeup anytime I want to get dolled up!
I can’t thank our amazing vendor team enough! None of it would have been possible without Ashley from Ashley McCormick Photography, and Corban & Mandy with Love & Lustre Videography. All of our design elements and efforts would be nothing without talented people to capture it all. Wedding photography and videography not only takes a TON of talent, but y’all, it’s a TON of work! I’ve seen them work so hard for their couples so each and every bride and groom has gorgeous memories for a lifetime.

We had such a fun day celebrating NYE a little early, and hope you enjoy using some of these ideas at your own New Year’s Eve parties. Cheers to a happy 2019!
