April 12, 2015Most weddings I have the honor to coordinate are beautifully planned by the bride – I just get the chance to help her vision come to life on the wedding day! When I got married in 2011 I wanted to plan every detail down to the cocktail napkins, so I completely understand and have come to expect most brides planning at least the large parts of their day – the flowers, colors, and of course – dress! Every now and then though, there comes a bride who just wants to be married and asks for a full service package. Enter: happy dance! My beautiful sister Jenna decided on September 1st of last year that she wanted to marry her fiance Chris on November 1st. Of the same year. She didn’t know much about her idea of the “perfect wedding,” but I didn’t realize she wouldn’t even want to pick her own wedding dress! Needless to say, we got right to work 🙂
Jenna and Chris love a little town about 30 minutes north of them called Rosemary Beach. I have never seen such beautiful white sand in Florida, making it the perfect backdrop for their day! We decided on peach and sage green for her colors and quickly shopped for J Crew bridesmaid dresses and Etsy pashminas to tie the looks all together. Just wait until you see every detail captured by the amazing Candice of Candice K Photography! I can’t rave about Candice enough – I only wish she lived in Orlando to capture more weddings with Two Peas!
The bridal party all got ready at Serenity Shores, a house right on Inlet Beach where the ceremony and reception were both held. Every inch of every room in this house is decorated like a dream! Our family hopes to come back here each year to vacation and re-live the memories of Jenna’s beautiful day!
Quick shout-out to Kate Kauble for making this shadow box for Jenna’s invitation! She is amazing!
We hired Events by Nouveau to bring in the floral, lighting, and furniture for ceremony and reception. If you are planning a destination wedding in Northwest Florida, you won’t find a better team to help make your day gorgeous! Jenna and I couldn’t get enough driftwood, so we were thrilled that Nouveau had several selections of driftwood at the altar. Jenna asked me to do the script for her signature drink board, guest table, pashmina basket and cake table. I love making personalized fonts and boards for my brides!
After the ceremony, guests came upstairs to enjoy cocktail hour and live music performed by three of Jenna and Chris’ favorite local musicians. It was important to the bride and groom that they not have a traditional sit down dinner, but rather a standing reception with their seafood favorites. Christopher from Signature Catering of 30-A kept us all coming for seconds, and Karaboo Cakes made Jenna and Chris three tiers of cake perfection!
Chris is from Kentucky, so they had to incorporate Kentucky bourbon balls into the dessert menu!
Jenna changed into this gorgeous gown for the big getaway. I just love the detailed lace back! Judging by his smile, I think Chris did too 😉
Congratulations to my beautiful, sweet, smart big sister and new brother in law. I feel blessed to be in your lives. Thank you so much for the honor of planning and executing your wedding day!
Love, Paige
