Carl and Kayla have been together for ten years, and you can tell just by being around them that their love has only grown since they met! Tim and I were lucky enough to meet these two about four years ago in our Marriage Prep class at church. Right away our small group started sharing about our relationships, struggles, and excitement for the future; I found it so telling of Kayla and Carl’s commitment that they took the Marriage Prep class before being engaged! They were so confident in their future – and what a beautiful future it will be 🙂
Kayla wanted to keep the day whimsical and fun, so she planned the perfect Carnival-themed wedding! We loved putting all her DIY touches into both the ceremony and reception, captured beautifully by Steven Miller Photography. One of the largest investments a bride and groom make when planning is hiring a photographer – what gorgeous photos Kayla and Carl will have for a lifetime to remind them of their perfect day!
I LOVE first looks! Kayla and Carl met at Rollins College for some photos before heading to the ceremony at Mead Garden. We decorated the outdoor space with lots of pinwheels and color! It was such a cheery and inviting space to say “I do.”
It was so fun to make another font sign for a bride! This time I got to use a little color 🙂

After the ceremony, guests arrived at the Winter Park Community Center for the party! All the details came together to make for a beautiful reception room with such fun details, AMAZING food by 4 Rivers, and a rockin’ dance party by Alex of Your Orlando DJ. Alex helped us the whole day with heavy lifting and went above and beyond to make sure that all looked and sounded great!
Not only did we get to enjoy the best BBQ in Orlando, but Kayla chose strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting from Publix – my favorite!! YUM! A friend of the Kayla and Carl’s made this adorable cake topper and I had fun adding some floral accents to finish it off!
