Do you have a place that holds truly special memories for you and your family? St. Augustine, Florida is my “place.” The city where my then-boyfriend brought me for our first Valentine’s Day. The city where he proposed. The city where we spent the first weekend of our honeymoon! Visiting St. Augustine brings me every romantic, sweet, giddy feeling – it’s just such a special place. When Lisa contacted me about helping to plan her wedding in downtown St. Augustine, my heart skipped a beat! She and Charlie have a love story for the books, and it was an honor to get to know them and their wonderful kids.
They made a full weekend celebration out of their union, and it was such a relaxing morning as Lisa got ready at their beach house rental. Andie from The Flower Studio Altamonte blew us all away with her floral work- just check out Lisa’s bouquet!
L & C chose the gorgeous Castle Otttis in St. Augustine for their ceremony. It was built to replicate an Irish castle (Ireland is also one of my “places” ;)), and it was the perfect backdrop for their intimate vows.
One of Andie’s stunning eucalyptus garlands was draped over the tiered candles right in front of the Castle’s Cross. It was perfect!
Pure Sugar Studios captured the newly blended family’s happiness all day.
Lisa asked me to calligraph a welcome sign for her guests as they entered the castle. I mean, how do you say no to that!? 😉
I always love a good Publix cake, and this one didn’t disappoint! They were so helpful in planning, even from out-of-town.
Their guests were then invited to celebrate at my very favorite Casa Monica hotel in St. Augustine. Everything about this iconic downtown hotel surrounds you in elegance and beauty! Lisa fell in love with the architecture – and can you blame her!? I draped every table with eucalyptus and adorned each setting with a custom watercolor placard by yours truly 😉

Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary, Lisa and Charlie! What a joy it was to celebrate with you last July. Cheers to a happily ever after!
